Hi, I'm Jeff Fouts, a tax attorney located in metro Atlanta, with a nationwide law practice helping clients who have serious IRS problems. I get asked "Why I love to fight the IRS?" To most people, fighting with the IRS every day just doesn't sound like a whole lot of fun. While the job can be tough, I enjoy helping clients solve their tax problems. I get excited when we're able to help a client get their life back on track so they can sleep better at night. My job has lots of variety. There are lots of different kinds of cases. No case is exactly like any other case. One day we might be helping: a client who hasn't filed for years, or a client who owes $50,000 or $500,000 in taxes, or a spouse who owe taxes because the other spouse didn't pay the taxes, or a business client who owes payroll taxes and isn't sure if their business will survive, or a client who is being audited I like going up against the government. I like to win. We're not afraid to push against the IRS when its in the best interest of our client. We don't win every case, every time, but our goal is to win. Our clients appreciate that we care about their case, and that we work for them, not the IRS. I enjoy the fight and the battle. It gives me a reason to get up in the morning.
