As coronavirus infections drop across the United States “politics will intrude again” and President Joe Biden will be forced to address topical issues such as student debt, tax hikes and energy policies says Curtin University Professor Joe Siracusa. “The honeymoon period almost over,” he told Sky News. However, Mr Siracusa admitted the virus was still a major problem for Americans. “During the Spanish flu with one third the population, there were 675,000 deaths in the United States”. “We’re now approaching half a million deaths out of 329 million [people], so it’s still under control, but it’s a massive loss of life.”
